Quick-Shelf Hangers - FA Questions


Quick-Shelf hangers are heavy 4 Gage galvanized steel shelving hangers that may be mounted from either the wall or the ceiling. Once the top shelf hanger is mounted, the remainder simply hook into each other until reaching the desired number of shelves, requiring no further mounting. They are available in sizes from 8" to 24" wide and 8" to 24" tall. Quick shelf hangers offer a cheaper, stronger, and faster alternative to other shelving methods. With only 2 wall attachment lag screws required (or 4 lag eye screws for a ceiling), installation couldn't be easier. Storing items high and dry provides maximum storage efficiency for unused space in the home. The shelf hangers are the perfect storage solution for garages, basements, closets, cellars, pantries, and wood sheds. They mount to ceiling trusses or floor joists for the ceiling mount style & wall studs for the wall mount style. Shelf hangers are made for almost all standard board sizes. They are also available from 8" to 24". With this in mind, one may use 1X10s, 1X12s, standard white melamine shelf boards, ripped plywood, or metal building studs [Click Here for an explanation of shelf board sizing]. When using standard 1 X size boards (3/4" thick) or 3/4" plywood, a maximum span of 3 feet between vertical rows of shelf hangers is suggested. For light duty shelving, 4 feet is permissible. If using 2X board sizes (1-1/2" thick), a maximum span of 6 feet is suggested. For light duty shelving, 8 feet is permissible.
